Friday night Bible Study

We had an interesting study on Bible & Science a prelude to the study on the book of Genesis.

Dr. David Criswell, started us off with thought provoking questions

Do science and religion overlap? Is the Bible a “science textbook”? We looked at the Philosophy of Science, We discussed the various fields of science: Archeology, Geology, Paleontology, Genetics, Biology, Physics. We ended discussing the following questions: 1. How do “science” and “religion” relate to one another? 2. What is the difference in evidentiary “facts” and the interpretation of “facts”? 3. What is circular reasoning? 4. If “science” contradicts the Bible, which is true? 5. Is science naturally anti-religion?
