CIC Retreat

We reached the camp at 9 PM on Aug 31st, when the first sermon started. We left on Sept 2 after lunch refreshed and energized. But soon life caught up with us. We had a electricity surge in our house and lost power in half the house But the 2 nights and 3 days we spent at Mt. Lebanon camp were absolute bliss. Pastor Linson Daniel talked about Moses, Joseph, Esther and Jesus The worship team blessed us with music. There were skits, Karaoke, Cricket and 1 AM Chicken Biriyani. There was always hot food in the cafeteria and fresh chai in the dorm. Now we are back in our routine grind and may have to wait until next year for the rest and relaxation. Is this life all about? — 2 days per year of intense Christian fellowship. May be not according to the Bible. Jesus said My Father’s house has many rooms. | am going there to prepare a place for you (John 14:2). We are not sure what we will do in heaven. Theologians think we may have to work. Some of us may have to do the same job. Some jobs may not exist — Software engineers, Doctors, funeral directors and of course Pastors. There may be Karaoke, skits, competition and cricket. No electricity surges and power loss. One thing is certain. We don’t have to return in 2 days. We will stay in Heaven for 10,000 years and ever more. Not only will we learn about Moses, Joseph, Esther and Jesus, we will be able to see and talk to them.
